To celebrate Poole Cycle Speedway clubs 50th Anniversary in style on a very special weekend in May
The Poole / Trent Club are pleased to announce the confirmation of four reigning
World Individual Champions who will contest the Ade Gale “Laurels” event at
Harbourside Park on Whitsun Bank Holiday Weekend 24th, 25th & 26th May.
Spearheading the Open grade is Arek Szymanski who will be joined by fellow
countryman and U21 victor Mikolaj Menz in an event that this year will feature two
16 rider semi finals and a Grand Final.
Southampton legend Gavin Wheeler will make the short trip across the New Forest
in an attempt to improve his Over 40s runner up position in 2023 and if successful
it will be another achievement too add to his capture of the World title in Adelaide last December.
However it will be home based Kenzie Bennett, with a World Gold medal and British indoor title
under his belt, who will be determined to add his name on the prestigeous Dave Lanning trophy.
With multi capped international competitors and long distance travellers due to confirm the scene
is set for the club to celebrate a truly memorable 50th birthday event.
