Women’s and Senior events turn up the heat

2025 Ade Gale Laurels – Day 2 Match Report

Day 2 – Women’s Category

The second day of the prestigious 2025 Ade Gale Laurels was lit up by the women’s category, and what a showcase of skill, strategy, and sportsmanship it was! With the sun shining and the green in perfect condition, spectators were treated to a spectacular display from some of the finest talent on the circuit.

The competition saw 16 top riders from across the country battle it out in closely contested heats. From the first heat to the final heat, it was evident this was no ordinary club tournament.

Among the standout performances of the day:

🏁 Lily Parr continued her strong form. Her composure under pressure earned nods from riders and spectators alike. The 2024 Laurels champion coming in overall 3rd with a fantastic 18 points.

🏁 Lizzie Rigley-Porter dropped just one point in her first race then dominant throughout, brushing aside opposition and a run off for 1st place eventually finishing in 2nd overall

🏁 Rachel Lammin showed resilience with a string of consistent performances, finishing on a very respectable 17 points and 4th place.

🏁 Poole starlet Nataleigh Goulden impressed with a fine 16 points and 5th place overall 

🏁 Esme Lewis and Talulah Curtis also put on exceptional performances, with Lewis battling hard through several tightly scored races. Curtis impressed all, especially as she is in the Under 12 category of the BYJL!!!! 

🏁 Showing why she is double Women’s British Champion Maddie Saunders stormed through the heats dropping only 1 point to Lizzie. In a fine display Saunders took the 1st place in the run off to win the 2025 Women’s Ade Gale Laurels title and the special edition Gold Poole race jersey.

Well done to all competitors who made it an afternoon to remember and showed why Women’s racing is now at an all time high level.

Day 2 – Senior Category 

The second match of the day was the Senior category featuring a star studded line up of seasoned racers and young guns looking to make a move.

Again 16 heats of all action racing with some fine overtakes and tough challenges. 

🏁 Junior Laurels champion Kenzie Bennett looked fast again today racking up an impressive 14 points

🏁 Horspath duo Zac Payne and Mark Boaler showed why they’re the spearheads in their National League squad. Boaler finishing with 15 and going into a run off for 3rd. Zac went through the heats in fine style with 16 points and a 2nd overall. 

🏁 Australian rocket Cody Petty impressed in the heats coming out with 15 pts and a place in the run off for 3rd.

🏁 The mighty Ben Mould raced hard all afternoon and finished on 15 and headed into a run off for 3rd along with Boaler and Petty. Mould powered his way to victory taking 3rd overall.

🏁 Taking the 2025 Ade Gale Laurels Senior title was the incredible talent from East Anglia, Noah Woodhouse. He stormed through the heats finishing on 17 points and lifting the converted trophy and special edition gold Poole race shirt.

Congratulations to all the competitors who made it one of the closest Laurels ever and much enjoyed by the crowd trackside and the hundreds who were watching live on Facebook.
