The Aussi duo of Brad Hoppo and Daniel Pudney got off to impressive starts in their first British league racing encounter
but the large Oasis circuit took its toll on the rest of their new team mates in a decidedly early season performance. Andre
Cross managed four quality rides before the legs gave way and Jessie Lamb returned a creditable nine points. The team was
weakened by the absence of Mark Everingham and Ben Donohue but Anthony Warren, Luke Armes, Richard Chappell and Dave Newman
all tried their hardest against their lively Wiltshire opponants for whom Shaun Rudman, Danny Harper and Rob Hunt all
excelled.
Poole scorers: B.Hoppo 19, L.Armes 6, D.Pudney 19, A.Warren 7, A.Cross 16, J.Lamb 9, D.Newman 2, R.Chappell 4.
There were promising performances from Matthew Mildon (7) and George Newman (6) in the Comination fixture in
which Swindon ran out winners 64-44.
